TEC is a recognized movement of the Roman Catholic Church, offering to youth and young adults an experience of the Paschal Mystery of Jesus. The experience includes:

• reflecting & sharing your hopes, ideals, & dreams
• presentations by priests, deacons & young adults
• finding God & encountering Christ - risen and alive today!

When is the Retreat?

Saturday, May 27th through Monday, May 29, 2023

When does it begin?

Registration is Saturday, May 27th at 10:30 AM

(It is VERY important that you arrive at this time.)

When does it end?

Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th at approximately 5:00 PM

(It is important for participants to remain at the retreat facility for the duration of the retreat.)

DIRECTIONS:

Take the SW 152 Street exit off Florida's Turnpike.  Go east to 112th Avenue and turn right (south).  Pass Christ the King Catholic Church on your right and continue south to the entrance of the facility, which will also be on your right.

What should I bring?

• Comfortable casual clothes with nicer clothes for Mass (1 night).
• Personal toiletries.
• A bathrobe. Men's and women's restrooms and showers are located on separate areas.
• Towels.
• Sheets, pillows and pillowcases.
• It is a retreat facility, not a spa.  Sleeping is dormitory style, 4 persons per room.

How much does it costs?

$120.00 ($25.00 deposit + $95.00 retreat fee)

Who can make a TEC?

Young adults ages 18 to 29, married or single

For those who are the age of 30 years and over:

TEC is an intergenerational ministry such that through the TEC process the lived experiences, wisdom, and spirituality of older generations are passed down to younger generations in a tried-and-true manner.  In Sonshine TEC, the younger generation is the under-30 generation.  Many team members have not attained the age of thirty, but many others have.  TEC needs and welcomes older adult participants of any age but with one condition.  If you are open to the possibility (no commitment is expected except that of being open) of serving in the TEC community after your retreat, then we invite your application.  If your purpose in applying to make a TEC retreat is strictly for personal spiritual growth and you have neither the time nor inclination to even consider further participation, then we invite you to make an alternate experience such as Cursillo or Emmaus.
